mortality-noun The condition or quality of being mortal; subjection to death or to the necessity of dying—mortal beings collectively; humanity— [/font] Of course we all want to say that we’re superheroes. The thing is that all that super hero junk that we hear about is all just fantasy. We are mortal, we are not invincible. If we fall hard enough, we break skin; if we hit the ground too quickly, we’ll break. We are not like them, as mortals our death is obsolete. So we live like mortals, day after day something new. We have to live our lives knowing that every day could be our last. Welcome to Encore City, here every day it’s like tomorrow will never come, or couldn’t come any sooner. Here it’s very real how subject to death we—as humans—will always be.
